Turning 18 or turning 80 - bind together the memories so far.

Family, old friends, decades of colleagues - everyone who’s shared the years writes one short piece: a favourite memory, a bit of advice, the story that always gets told. Bound together, it’s the whole of who they are, in the words of the people who were there for it.

A favourite memory of Theo

The morning you arrived

I got the call at four in the morning and drove through empty streets with the radio off, just so I could think. By the time I reached the hospital you were already here - furious, red, and completely yourself.

Your dad rang the whole family from the corridor with the worst signal in the building, and told each of us a slightly different birth weight. Nobody minded. We were too busy arguing over what we’d teach you first.

Eighteen years on, you still do everything at your own pace and in your own way. I wouldn’t change a single stubborn bit of it, and I never have.

How it works

No blank page

Everyone taps a prompt and writes what they’ve got - a paragraph or a dozen pages, either’s fine.

Bound to last

Cloth-bound and printed in the UK - not a shared doc that gets lost in the cloud.

Ready in a week

As soon as the last entry lands, it goes to print.
